The City of Kenora says a reserve account set up for tax write-offs has been wiped out.
For the second time this year, the city has had to shell out hundreds of thousands of dollars
following a tax appeal.
This time, the Canadian Tire store will be getting 203 thousand dollars back.
Mayor Dave Canfield is worried they will be seeing similar appeals from large retailers in the months ahead.
Canfield says the Canadian Tire appeal was part of a provincial agreement that was settled by a municipal working group.
