More firefighters from our province are heading to British Columbia, to help battle wildfires that the Red Cross says have forced over 15,000 people to leave their homes.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, there are now over 250 people from Ontario working in B.C. to get the fires under control.
Over the weekend, just over 100 were flown out, and there are plans to send almost 100 more this week.
Estimates from the B.C Wildfire Service put the number of currently active fires just over 120. (File Photo)
