Social enterprise is the buzz word in Kenora these days.
Making Kenora Home is seriously investigating launching it's own non-profit business venture.
Shaun Loney from Build Winnipeg is working with them and says social enterprise works well on so many levels.
"I think we are used to two business models one is private sector and the other is government, and neither one of those are doing the job right now. Our defining issue in Kenora and the area is connecting people the people who most need the work, with the work that most needs to be done."
Loney says they are involved in a number of social enterprises in Manitoba right now including green energy projects, building renovations, and food services.
