Lots of interest in proposed changes in Ontario baitfish regulations.
A steady stream of local residents attend the final public consultation session yesterday in Kenora.
Dave Hintz is the acting manger for the MNR's Fisheries Section and says the main goal is to reduce the spread of invasive species.
The proposed regulations would still allow the movement of baitfish within the Kenora and Rainy River Districts and also the importation of baitfish from northern lakes.
Comments on the changes can be made on the Environmental Bill of Rights website until June 27th.
